Aura Reflections: Chalk Pastel Portraits

In this series, I use chalk pastel to draw some of the most influential and supportive people in my life. I am portraying them through portraiture, but also through color and pattern that create a sort of aura around them. Seeing people’s aura, or the energy they emit, is something I have been focusing on, along with being more intuitive and connected with people, which relates to my future goal of being an art therapist. The depicted colors and patterns surrounding the people in my portraits represent the energy I associate with them.
